JustHost announced a VPS location in Athens, adding a Greek site to its international infrastructure.
The location offers another placement option for projects serving Greece, the Balkans and the Mediterranean, helping teams align their infrastructure with their audience.
Another route to a Mediterranean audience
The Athens site gives projects another option for users in Greece and nearby regions. It is particularly relevant to teams planning a Southern European presence and comparing several deployment destinations.
Choosing a nearby city does not guarantee the same latency for every visitor. Before moving, check routes from the main user networks and connectivity to external services. For an application distributed across countries, consider communication between its components as well as the connection to customers.
- Start with the geography of actual visitors.
- Compare connectivity with your current node.
- Check the application's database connection separately.
